Best of 2021 in Process Automation

This year, the focus was on Traffic & Transportation, Metal & Steel, Maritime, and Emissions Measurement in general. Even if on-site events were the exception and online events the norm, you could still meet us on a few occasions. We also offered webinars on all of our focus topics. Webinars offer a free and easy form of in-person education and help you stay current. 

At the Online Speed Dating event, participants were able to find out about and exchange information on new solutions for the metal and steel sector quickly and easily. In the style of speed dating, the most attractive solutions for the metal & steel sector from SICK were presented in 5-minute intervals. Following the principle, visitors could decide for themselves which products and solutions they would like to get to know better. 

Here is a brief overview of the solutions that were presented.

At sea, in shipyards and ports, the maritime sector is facing major challenges ranging from increased safety awareness to decarbonization and digitalization. At the 1st Sensor Ocean online conference in September 2021, experts presented smart sensor applications on and below deck as well as around the ship in ports to topics ranging from dust and gas measurement to digital transparency. In 2022, we continue to dedicate ourselves to the topic and will be present at the Posidonia International Maritime Exhibition in Greece.

Authorities in each country set permissible emission limits for all industries. Our laboratory performs sampling, measurement and analysis of organic and inorganic air pollutants, verifies the measured values and prepares a conformity report.
